Before Helene brought her devastation to WNC, our partnership worked together at a beloved Biltmore Village furniture store, Dwellings. The store was known for comfortable and sophisticated home furnishings at an easily digestible price point, with warm and knowledgeable design/sales staff.

After flood waters destroyed Dwelling’s retail space and inventory, the owner decided it was time to retire, opting not to reopen the store. Although the associates understood, we were heartbroken and not at all ready to be done. Not only were we in the middle of design commissions with clients (who had become our friends), we had created a dynamic and seamless team who enjoyed working together everyday, collaborating and investing in the continuation of Dwellings’ stellar reputation. 

We intend for Grounded Interiors to be the new chapter in that story.
